Sylvia's Christmas Song

I set off to design a Christmas pattern, wanting to avoid all the most common imagery such as Santa, Rudolf and snowflakes and ended up creating one inspired by one of my favorite Finnish Christmas songs 'Sylvian Joululaulu' (Sylvia's Christmas Song). It's about a migrating bird, sylvia borin (latin), longingly signing about its beloved home country during Christmas time in Italy to where it has escaped the harsh Scandinavian winter.
